A lot of
enthusiasm for new ideas has always formed part of the success of
HISPANO’s R+D department. More than 40 years ago, in the early days,
HISPANO created a pioneering double-decker bus. Nowadays, the new DIVO
coach arises from the same tradition of originality and functionality. Every
vehicle created by HISPANO has brought new concepts to the passenger
transport sector. A focus on technological development and innovation
plays a central role in the company, providing added value in widely
differing areas.
The great interest and acclaim with which the city bus market has received the awarded habit model, designed by Pininfarina, which was Bus of the Year 2000 in Spain and runner-up in the prestigious Bus of the Year 2001 award in Europe, has marked a new stage in the concept of style and innovation that distinguishes all of HISPANO's products. No detail is born at random. It is not just a question of style and elegance. HISPANO's concern to meet the industry's requirements has led it to work hand in hand with prestigious research laboratories such as the INSIA , the INTA, the Higher Polytechnic Centre of the University of Zaragoza, Pininfarina Ricerca e Sviluppo, S.p.A, and with the main suppliers to the industry as well as with chassis manufacturers to develop a technologically and stylistically avant-garde coach.
